We visited Jam on Hawthorne with a party of 11, and despite the size of our group, the team seated us surprisingly quickly considering the weekend traffic. We were greeted by Jo, whose enthusiasm, bright smile, and attentive service set the tone for the entire meal. I ordered the pistachio latte perfectly crafted and full of flavor alongside the smoked steelhead hash, which was absolutely delicious, well-balanced, and showcased the freshness of the main ingredients. Once we ordered, the food arrived promptly. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the prime location. The restaurant’s vibrant walls, adorned with artwork from local artists, added to its warm and creative atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re on this side of the river and craving an exceptional breakfast and some positive energy. Read less

Tasty little place w my dream menu item, gravy over hashbrowns!!!! We got the loaded hash brown, Tommy’s Joint, and the lemon and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were definitely way too sweet (for our taste) but the blueberry compote itself was very nice. The burrito was good w the house made habanero hot sauce. I absolutely loved my hash brown bowl as well. Our adorable server was very kind and attentive. Would come again if we lived in the area!! Read less

It’s a decent breakfast. I wouldn’t wait a half hour for a table. Everything was just ok-good, not spend your morning waiting good, my favorite thing here was the English muffins with house jam. Hot sauce is actually hot. Jam doesn’t really have that “set your self apart” menu to warrant a wait 30min like some Portland breakfast spots do. My hash browns weren’t fully cooked in the middle, sausage links are decent but not seasoned for breakfast imo. Maybe the French toast is where it’s at? One thing I don’t understand is the have sausage but they don’t make sausage gravy hmmmm only vegaterian.. it’s a bit pricey too Read less

Absolutely loved this place. Went there on a Thursday afternoon at about 1:00. Was surprised to get in so quickly but glad I did. I went for the Grand Marnier French toast + a side of bacon and their chicken basil sausage links. The French toast was incredible. There is something quite unique about it. One piece was enough for me though could have probably devoured one more piece. Bacon was perfectly cooked and tasty. Sausages were really tasty. What a very unique flavor. Had a Mango Mimosa and that did not disappoint. Met the owner who came by to make sure everything was going well and it was .. very much so. Love the vibe of this place. Will be back soon. Read less

I ordered food at the same time as the other 2 people at my table, but didn't get my pancake order with the rest. They mixed up or forgot my order, and by the time they arrived I had finished my chai latte over ten minutes ago and my friends had almost finished their meal. Since I took photos, I know my pancakes took twice as long as others' food to arrive. The chai latte was also not good, and small for the price. Won't be coming back. Read less
