On my recent visit to La Catedral Café in Little Village, I sampled a few different items, and here’s how they stacked up: • Café de Cajeta: 8.75/10 – Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Definitely a standout drink worth coming back for. • Torta: 8.5/10 – The flavors were on point, but the bread could have been toasted more. It either sat out a bit too long or wasn’t as fresh, which left it slightly dry. • Breakfast Burrito: 7.5/10 – A decent size, but the filling lacked boldness in flavor. Toasting the tortilla a little longer would have given it a better texture and bite. Overall, the food was solid, though nothing truly wowed me. Service, however, was excellent—friendly, attentive staff who made the experience enjoyable. The only downside was the indoor temperature; it was about 82°F and humid, which made dining a bit uncomfortable. Not sure if it was an air conditioning issue that day, but it was noticeable. La Catedral Café is worth checking out for its drinks and welcoming service, with some room for improvement in food preparation and indoor comfort. Read less

My partner took me here for chilaquiles a few weeks back and we recently returned for lunch. Both times we were seated quickly and the food came equally as fast. Never mind the fact that every thing was delicious. My partner had been here many times and she told me how great the food was. I concur. Gracias, La Catedral! Read less

This place gets very busy on the weekends. I recommend going early because it gets crowded. This place has multiple religious statues throughout reminds you of a church. Fede was very nice and made sure everything was made correctly, especially since my sandwich was made wrong twice. I'll come back to that. We got small natural juices but we should've got larges. We had the detox and ex'otico. The strawberry pancakes with caramel was divine. The pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor. I ordered the breakfast sandwich but apparently there was a miscommunication with the kitchen because it came out with none of the fixings on it. 2nd time it has no mayo, spinach, or jalapenos. It was still delicious but was a bit dry without the mayo. I added steak to it and it made a difference but definitely would've been better with the correct items in it. I asked for the steak to be added to the sandwich but they would only give it to me on the side. I don't understand why they couldn't put it on the sandwich. Read less

I recently went to this restaurant, and from the moment you arrive, they greet you with a warm welcome. They have enough tables to serve a large number of people. One thing I didn't like was the coded menu, which you can only see on your phone. I think it was because Covid is over, and they should bring back the menu to give it to customers. The coffee with milk was excellent and enormous. The chilaquiles tasted great. I hope to return soon. Thank you. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. Read less
