Pros: I’ve traveled extensively around the world and USA and this is one of the best and most unique vegan restaurants I’ve been to. The decor is very cool and the food is excellent. Cons: Overall was a bit salty for my personal palate. Mac and cheese balls could have been a bit “cheesier” flavor. The restaurant appeared to apply an automatic service charge to the order but then also asked for a tip. If you’re not paying attention you may end up paying two tips. The service charge is not visible on the final total screen. I’m sure this is probably an oversight and not intentionally being dishonest. The restaurant will probably address this if it hasn’t already. Vegan or non vegans should definitely try this restaurant! Read less

Oh My Soul – Where Plants Play Pretend and Fool Your Tastebuds I’ll be honest, when I hear “100% vegan,” my carnivore brain usually translates that to “prepare to chew on leaves and smile politely.” But Oh My Soul flipped that script faster than you can say Macho Nachos. Speaking of those nachos, good grief. I braced myself for the telltale “healthy” flavor, but my tastebuds were too busy doing the Macarena to notice any difference from the cheesy, meaty versions I’ve known. Layers of flavor, perfect crunch, and a little bit of spice made me forget that no cows or pigs were invited to this party. And here’s the kicker: I’m not vegan, but I left wondering if I could be, at least until I got hungry again. This place isn’t just “good for vegan food,” it’s just good, period. The kind of good where you look at your plate mid-bite and think, What sorcery is this? After your meal, roll yourself out the door and take a lazy stroll through NoDa. First time trying Oh My Soul and boy was my soul happy and fulfilled by the time I left! Customer service was top tier and the meal my daughter and I got was absolutely delicious! In addition to the meal, we also decided to try a dessert and both the chocolate mousse and cashew cheesecake were absolutely delectable! We definitely plan to revisit to try their brunch menu before we head back home to MD, but definitely appreciate the superb experience! 10 out of 10, highly recommend!!!!!!!!!! Read less
