To preface, this is a review from someone who is not vegetarian/vegan. This is the second time I’ve been here and the food was still very tasty. The avocado sushi is my favorite so far, but the gyoza comes close. The only thing I was less fond of was the ‘cream’ on the 1000 layer potatoes - tasted a bit sweet which wasn’t my favorite flavor combo. But overall, it’s fun to try new things and have a satisfying but less heavy meal. Hope to come back and try more :) Read less

This is a fully vegan restaurant in DC. This is my 2nd time at this location and it doesn't disappoint. I never would've thought vegan food would taste this good! They do change their menu sometimes, but the food is still good! Please get the bang bang broccoli (not pictured here). I will say, make reservations so you can be seated in a timely fashion. But once seated, the service is pretty fast even with a packed house. I love the ambiance at this restaurant. It's nicely lit, and a great place for a date. When I go back to DC, I will be here again! Read less

While exploring DC on my birthday, we stumbled upon Planta Queen—and what a gift it turned out to be. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Nadia’s warm smile at the entrance instantly set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The ambiance strikes that perfect balance between modern and inviting, with stylish decor and a lively yet relaxed vibe. The cocktails were impressive, with balanced flavors and beautiful garnishes. Nadia introduced me to The Language of Yes Rose, which is now my mantra. It perfectly captured the spirit of my visit—open-hearted, vibrant, and full of discovery. Planta Queen delivers an experience that’s flavorful, unique, and full of heart. We didn’t expect my birthday stroll to end with such a treat, but we’re so glad it did. Special thanks to Nadia for making my visit memorable. Read less

My first fully vegan restaurant experience and it did not miss! Visited this location with some friends visiting from out of the country and I'd like to say we all enjoyed ourselves (minus the mid-lunch fire evacuation)! I tried the bao bun, the 1,000 layer potatoes (favorite!!), the truffle udon, and I believe it was a lychee drink from the bar at the suggestion of the great host we had! Overall, it was a great experience and I'm definitely going to come back for the potatoes!! Read less

PLANTA Queen was an impromptu choice for me since it was so close to my hotel Yours Truly. I was eager to try it out because besides the name, you wouldn’t guess it was vegan. The food was amazing and flavorful!! I ordered the Dragon Roll which I enjoyed so much I forgot to get a picture before demolishing it. Being a vegan restaurant, they had a substitute for traditional soy and eel sauce that still had a good taste. My favorite part of the meal was my entree - the Singapore Noodles. It was very filling and the curry base was delicious!! The onions and green peppers were a beautiful compliment to tie the dish together. For dessert I ordered the big cookie, which was the only item on the menu that I could distinguish as being vegan. It wasn’t terrible, but I could tell the batter was messing something traditional which can be expected. Overall 9.5/10 experience. The interior was nicely decorated, clean, and it wasn’t busy around 1:30 PM. The staff was very considerate of my seating preference so I could take a meeting in peace and quiet which was very appreciated. Read less
