My family and I were in Brookline for the marathon & Pure Cold Press became our go-to spot! We visited four times in two days, and each time the food and drinks were incredibly fresh and delicious. Beyond the great food, the owner was extremely friendly and kind to us and very patient with my kids. He made us feel welcome and right at home. Highly highly recommend! Read less

A bit of unsolicited advice that I wish I had known 90 minutes ago when I ordered take out from Pure Cold Press: if your meal contains any type of product which is typically consumed semi-frozen, such as a smoothie or açaí bowl, be sure to specify that you would like said product refrigerated or placed in a freezer after it is made and not placed under a heat lamp or something similar. My wife and I ordered pickup from the restaurant tonight, 1 smoothie, 1 açaí bowl, and 1 salad. We live about 4 blocks away and walked to the restaurant tonight to pick it up. When we got there, I saw that everything we had ordered was on top of the glass counter, with other people’s orders. After getting the food, it was obvious that as soon as it had been made, it went directly to the counter. That’s fine if we had just ordered a salad I guess but the smoothie and bowl were the temperature and consistency of room temperature soup. It’s also like 80 degrees outside. We order pickup pretty regularly from the numerous Brookline/Allston/Brighton places that make smoothies/bowls. Nobody has ever left them outside on the counter like that. That’s foul. I would have understood it if we had been delayed somehow but we were literally at the restaurant 25 minutes after ordering it from our apartment. We’ve eaten a sit-down meal here before and enjoyed it. However, after this experience, and the fact that the price of its smoothies/bowls aren’t any less expensive then most of the nearby alternatives, neither my wife or I will get a smoothie or bowl from Pure Cold Press again. It was in all experience it was quite good. The French fries are good, the pizzas are only good if you have them fresh, and if your into salads and smoothies this place is for you.

This place is great. The owner is friendly and he usually interacts with his customers. It always looks very clean. They have seating inside and outside when the weather is nice. One of my favorite things to get is there cold press juices, They have many options but my favorite is called Liquid Gold I believe. Their salads are absolutely delicious. Today I got The Orchard salad w/ Salmon. First time ordering it and it did not disappoint. Very happy with it, Salmon was actually seasoned very nicely. Not too much or too little seasoning. I do wish the piece was just a tad bigger but it turned out to be just fine of a portion. This place would get 5 stars but honestly everything is so overpriced that it makes it difficult to keep going back more often. For example, my salad today was $23. For the moment, I will treat myself whenever I can but wouldn't be able to come here all the time. Read less
