We already started off on the wrong foot. Upon arrival, there was no one to greet us at the door, so we seated ourselves at a five-person table in a more private area, as we were a group of three women with purses. We were then asked to move “in case a larger party arrives.” Out of courtesy, we moved to a nearby table that was more out in the open and less comfortable. I had to ask for an extra chair for our bags, and it was wobbly—just like the table and the other chairs around us. As we waited to be served, we watched another party of two women come in and seat themselves at a similar table without issue. They were given menus promptly and weren’t asked to move. Eventually, they relocated themselves to a smaller table—but the difference in treatment was noticeable. We ordered sweet iced tea and were served hot tea instead. When we asked for the correct order, the replacement tea still wasn’t sweet. I asked for water instead, but it was never brought to the table. Throughout the visit, the staff did not seem particularly friendly or attentive. What stood out even more was that the waiter explained the food selections in detail to most other tables—but when it came to our “chef’s choice” items, we had to ask for clarification ourselves. It felt like we were consistently overlooked, and that definitely impacted the overall experience. To top it off, when it came time to pay, the waiter had already preselected a higher tip amount—so double-check your bill before finalizing your payment. That said, the atmosphere was quaint and charming—this spot has potential, and it was still worth the visit for a new experience. I just hope the service and consistency improve in the future. We went here when it was at the old location and we loved everything about it. Great service and great food. We decided to come back and found they had a new location at Temple Terrace. The service was probably the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. We asked for water, it took about 15 minutes and were given water bottles, which we were charged $2 (found that out when the bill arrived). I also never got more water because I had a feeling they were charging me for the water so I went thirsty and they did charge more...I was right, water was not included. Our server had no clue what cilantro was and if it was in any of the dishes. We guessed it wasn't in the dish, unfortunately it was. Appetizer was great. But no one came to check on us and I had to walk to the front to find our server to ask about adding something to our meal. Again no one came around to check on anything when our dinner arrived. I had to find our server again and ask for the salad I had ordered. He looked confused and surprised. When the "salad" arrived, it was one cut up tomato and cilantro with their bread. It was not what I ordered. I gave up. They did not seem to care. The server had no clue what was happening so nothing could be done. The poor kid who had me sign the hand held credit card machine was literally shaking while holding it. He also seemed confused about what he was doing. We won't be back unfortunately. The dinner was decent. It didn't seem like enough food for four people though. Too bad because we loved the first location and the staff used to be wonderful, helpful and friendly. Read less

Had a very delicious and interesting meal. I had a vegetarian platter and my 2 guests had the Queen of Sheba platter. The different foods are served on the utensil which is a delicious and healthy thin wheat pancake. Each dish has a unique and flavorful taste. Small mom and pop joint that’s run by the loveliest little old lady. Will be back! Read less
