I haven't been here in years because I had a memory of a smaller restaurant. Their remodel is amazing. Spacious, bright, great food options, signage for menu easy to read, food displayed looked good. I loved this place. I ordered rice, beans, cabbage, spaghetti and had a berry berry smoothie. Loved that the smoothie is blended as you order it and it's not loaded down with sugar. Everything looked good but I couldn't get it all in 1 trip. I have to go back. I think you'll enjoy your visit there as well. Read less

I've been wanting to come here forever but from where I live in the city it's quite the trek. So when some friends were in town it was a perfect excuse to go on a journey and get some delicious vegan food. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that not only could you get offerings from the buffet style layout they had but also order food for them to make on the spot. Everything looked and sounded delicious, so it was difficult to choose just a few things. My friends and I got a ton of food but I personally tried the Cajun shrimp with rice and the drumsticks with jerk sauce. The shrimp had a really lovely texture that reminded me of the real thing, which I have not had in probably about 20 years. The seasoning was amazing too and it went nicely with the rice. The all star for me were the drumsticks. I'm glad I got them covered in the jerk sauce and not just on the side because the flavor was amazing. The texture of the drumsticks was quite nice as well being closer to an actual drumstick but not exactly the same which is all right. It didn't taste fake though. The space is very casual but comfy with a lot of locals dining there. The staff were super friendly and inviting as well which is always nice. This is definitely somewhere I will recommend. Everyone goes, especially if they are a vegan or vegetarian and looking for some delicious food in the city. I can't wait to find an excuse again to go here. Read less

I ordered the combo platter which included battered cauliflower, mushrooms, and onion rings. I also ordered the vegan gyro and Garvey burger. I paid 51.00 for the entire order. Pros: I was able to order through grub hub. My order was ready when I picked it up. I like that the workers did ask for verification of my order through grub-hub. It was a little off putting at first but I appreciate the fact that they are checking. My order was correct and the food was still warm when I made it home, which was about 20 mins later. The Garvey burger and gyro weren’t bad but they weren’t exceptionally good either. I wish I would have ordered from their food bar as some of the items looked tasty. Cons: batter kept falling off the mushrooms and cauliflower. It was annoying. The flavor is of course in the batter, the mushrooms and cauliflower by themselves are bland. I was not a fan of the fries that came with the sandwiches. I do think they could do a better job and make them more appealing. They are just too greasy and didn’t taste fresh at all. I feel like I paid a lot and wasn’t completely satisfied. Overall, I’d rate this place a 3.5. They do have other items that I might try in the future but nothing from my order today. Read less

My personal favorite was the dressings, kale salad, bean stew, curry salad. There are probably some items missing because i got a little of alot of things on the buffet. Hit up Soul Veg City for lunch and the food slapped. Got the BBQ cauliflower, mac & cheese, and a side of greens. All plant-based and still hella flavorful. The vibes are cool—laid back, with dope art on the walls. Only knock is the service was kinda slow, but the staff was nice about it. Worth the wait tho. Will def be back to try the vegan gyro.
