I had not been to the Spice Kitchen in well over a year but finally got back there. For some reason, it was empty this Wednesday, but I soon landed at a table and ordered their Burrata Butter Chicken. The dish was quite satisfying, with the right amount of cream and spicy tomato. The tomatoes used in the dish were so fresh and ripe, they added a bit of sweetness to the sauce. I certainly hope the restaurant is packed on other evenings because it should be. I'm looking forward to returning for another dinner and hope to head there for their buffet lunch as well. Read less

Food was strictly ok. I personally didn’t like my chicken sweet corn soup, it lacked flavor, and it was very chunky, almost like a corn stew. The manchow soup was a lot better, and my wife liked it a lot. The main courses were ok, and they came with rice. So, we made the mistake of ordering roti also. The waiter said it would a chapati style roti, so our expectations were of that, but it was basically a naan, and we didn’t want a naan. Chili chicken was strictly ok also. Service was a tad slow, but it’s understandable due to lack of waiters. I haven’t tried other Indian restaurants in the area, but this had the best rating of them all hence came here. Was left a bit disappointed with the food. Read less

Absolutely incredible! Best Indian Asian fusion I've ever had in America. Exceptional service with servers who truly care about your experience. They were allergy friendly and extremely accommodating. The food was top notch and flavored perfectly. The plating was nice too! It really feels like a fancy vacation to be able to eat good, drink good, and be treated well. The cocktails were so balanced and delicious. The tamarind ginger margarita was the best margarita I've ever had . Even the atmosphere was such a nice, relaxing, decorative vibe. We really loved this place so much that we are coming back again tomorrow before we leave the area. Thank you for existing! I haven't been this excited about dining in a long time. It was really nice. Read less

Came here for the first time with my family. We got there at 8:26pm. The sign said they close at 10 but the person who greeted us said they closed at 9:30 so to keep that in mind. We were looking at the menu when he came over and said if we’re ready to order. Mind you, he just gave us the menu 2 minutes before that. He kept looking at his watch which was bothersome. We ordered noodles, samosa chaat, buttered naan, chicken kadai and chicken tikka masala. The entree came with basmati rice which was so hard. We told him that it was hard. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. The food was good that’s why I gave 2 stars but very disappointed with the service!! Read less

We recently visited Spice Kitchen Restaurant and had one of the most disappointing experiences we've ever had with Indian food in the U.S. Over the past 3 years of living in America, I’ve tried several Indian restaurants, but this was by far the worst. We were returning to Michigan after a weekend trip to New York City and decided to stop by Spice Kitchen for a bulk takeaway order, as we didn’t have time to dine in. Upon entering, we were initially greeted by a courteous front desk staff member—a bearded gentleman who was humble and welcoming. However, the experience quickly deteriorated. While placing our order, a clean-shaven man who appeared to be the owner took over. His attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, as if he had no interest in taking our order. We ordered the following items: 4 chicken Fried Rice spicy 1 Mutton Biryani 1 Lamb Biryani 2 Pepper Chicken Fries 1 Veg Fried Rice 1 Chicken biryani We were told the food would be ready in 20 minutes. Shockingly, we waited nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes before receiving our order. Despite our long wait, we were still hopeful the food would be worth it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Once we were back on the road and finally opened our parcels, we were devastated. The food was bland, flavorless, and did not meet even the most basic expectations for Indian cuisine. We specifically requested spicy food, and the person at the counter even assured us that everything is spicy in our restaurant. In reality, the food lacked any spice whatsoever so mild that even a child could eat it without hesitation. The chicken fried rice looks like rice and some veggies fried in oil and added boiled chicken. The pepper chicken tasted more like chicken curry made in coconut oil, lacking the distinct pepper flavor. The goat and lamb biryani didn’t resemble authentic flavors and tasted nothing like what one would expect. Mutton and lamb biryani looks and tastes like turmeric rice with boiled meat pieces It was clear that neither the taste nor the quality met the standards of good Indian cuisine. We spent nearly $200 on this order, and it felt like a complete waste of money. What should have been a convenient and satisfying meal turned into a huge disappointment. We were left heartbroken by the entire experience. Read less
