First time eating here. I had heard good things. You choose your protein, base and a couple of sides. Bf and I were sharing a bowl and got a side of extra protein. We got the kale base, hot honey chicken, sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. Everything was really good. I appreciate that the food is in real cookware. There are good vegetarian and vegan options. First time ever at a DIG. I didn’t even know it existed or what it was until last night when my husband and I needed a quick bite before a show at Lincoln Center Theater. Very happy we stumbled upon it! My mind was blown to see such healthy options on offer. Fast casual counter to select a base, sides, and a protein (or option for a third vegetable side- vegetarian friendly! I am not sure about vegan only because I don’t know exactly what they use in the kitchen per dish). We will definitely be back to DIG (there are several locations throughout the city). For my bowl I selected a Kale salad as a base, sides of roasted carrots and broccoli, and chicken breast (chicken thigh was also an option!). I chose a Pesto Sauce on the side but the dish didn’t need it. Everything was seasoned beautifully and the chicken was so juicy! The broccoli was perfectly al dente and I’d have eaten an entire bowl of that by itself. My husband selected kale as a base, with Mac n cheese and roasted broccoli on the side, with salmon. It too was delicious and well seasoned! The portions were perfect and very filling. It felt wonderful to have a perfectly balanced meal when I was otherwise expecting to have to grab junk. NOTE: There is no restroom/toilet available, and seating is limited. It’s definitely more of a quick bite and go or best gotten as takeaway. Read less
