Before my mom dropped me off at the bus station I wanted a quick bite that wasn’t the greasy Chinese food that was on the block. Across the street on the corner was a quaint shop that sold smoothies, different toast, sandwiches and super fruit bowls and come to find out later it’s BLACK OWNED! While reading the owner bio posted in the shop I looked outside and saw the owner eating breakfast with his daughter! 🥰 I had the PB&J toast and was able to sample the Morning Green Giant! It was delicious and hit every taste bud I was going for. The cashier provided great customer service and was super knowledgeable on the menu and his favorites. Definitely wish I would’ve found this place sooner and will definitely be back. Go here!! Read less

Loved loved loved this place. I was traveling from Maryland to Wilmington for other reasons. While there I was looking for a quick bite to eat in the area. I came across The Green Box Kitchen and immediately said yes. First of all, the manager was so nice, he made me a mango smoothie that I finished before I even touched my Chick Pea Tuna Sand-which. Let me just say I fell in love with the sand-which as well. Just the thought of enjoying the food that I was eating and knowing that it was healthy set the tone for the rest of my day. GET THE “SOUL GLOW”! It was delicious! On top of that, the service is great! I didn’t get the young man’s name, but he works the register and he fills the space up with kindness! Nothing like entering an establishment and being greeted with kindness. It’s a great feeling when you’re about to support a business. I had such a great experience at Green Box Kitchen! I ordered the Hangry Smoothie, Belgian Waffle, and the Chickpea “Tuna” Wrap — and honestly, everything exceeded my expectations. The Hangry Smoothie was the perfect balance of refreshing and filling — super flavorful and packed with nutrients. It gave me a great energy boost without being too sweet or heavy. The Belgian Waffle was beautifully crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with just the right touch of sweetness. It’s the kind of comfort food you feel good about eating! And the Chickpea “Tuna” Wrap? So flavorful and satisfying! The texture was spot on, and the wrap itself was fresh and well-assembled. Enjoyed our first visit here. Friendly and efficient staff. Pleasantly surprised how quickly our order was ready. Food was delicious although a bit too salty. Although limited space, they've managed to provide a nice window bar with seating which felt inviting along with cheerful decor. Exceptionally clean and fresh. Would recommend carryout if your party is more than two. Read less
