I absolutely love this place! I’m still working my way through trying the entire menu lol, but everything I’ve had thus far has been delicious. The food is packed with flavor, the portions are generous and the service is excellent. I’m obsessed with the falafel bowl and chocolate chip cookies. I recently tried the empanada and loved it also. I’ve also ordered the falafel by itself and it’s delicious. I hate that I I’ve hardly taken many photos of my food on countless visits lol, but trust me on this one…THE FOOD IS GOOD!! I happened to order from Roasted and Raw on what was one of the worst days I’ve had this year. Needless to say, they made it better. I ordered for pickup for the first time, because I’ve heard great things about this place. When I went outside to my car to go pick up my order, I literally saw my car being stolen in front of my face - they sped away in my car right when I walked outside of my house. Of course I freaked out and a million things need to be done NOW in these situations, so I called the police etc. It occurred to me later that I had ordered food, so I called R&R to ask them if there was any way they could switch my pickup order to a delivery order and I explained the reason why. The owner, who I spoke with, was at my door in less than 15 minutes with my order. He got to me before the police did. He told me his car was recently stolen so he knew what I was going through. I hate that I forgot your name, kind sir! There was just a lot happening at the time, but you so kindly introduced yourself and brought me my food…I was and still am beyond touched. The smallest actions and gestures go so far with me, so I’m spreading that positivity and kindness so it can keep rolling! Thank you Roasted and Raw, and the amazing young man who went above and beyond for a fellow Oakland neighbor from the good in your heart. Never forgotten. :) Read less

Really good veggie burger! Had the smoky black bean burger, which I am often let down by, so I figured it would be a good test of this place. Came with yucca fries, the bun was toasted nicely, yum! Decor is a little unfinished (raw! haha) but friendly staff, mini-fridge of sea moss drinks and a clean restroom. I definitely want to come back for the breakfasts, available 9-12 apparently. We tried the chicken & waffles, mac & cheese, sweet potato, kale salad, and chocolate chip cookies. Everything was seasoned so well. The mac & cheese /sweet potato / cookie were my favorite. Waffle was perfect but i'd skip the chicken and try a different protein. I would love to try more of their tofu entrees. Staff was so nice, clean tables and bathroom, nice bottle sauce selection. Delicious and super friendly. Went two days in a row when I was in town, and will be back the next time I’m in Oakland. I wanna try everything on the menu!
