I was really excited to try Envegan, especially because my aunt had been raving about it and wanted to take me there to kick off my New Year on May 12. Being vegan myself, I’m always open to supporting plant-based restaurants, especially new spots I haven’t tried before. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. First, the mac and cheese was watery and completely lacked the creamy, comforting texture you'd expect. I asked the person at the counter how it was made, and he casually told me it had been sitting in a pressure cooker for a day. That’s not just unappetizing, it’s completely unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food that isn’t fresh. The barbecue "no meat " chicken was another letdown. It looked like they just poured sauce over it and didn’t bother to marinate or cook it properly. No depth of flavor, no texture just sauce sitting on top. The greens were bland and underseasoned. As someone who grew up with rich, flavorful soul food, this was such a letdown. No spice, no love in the pot. I had high hopes walking in, especially for a special occasion, but unfortunately, this meal fell flat on every level. I appreciate the idea behind Envegan, but they need to revisit their recipes, cooking methods, and quality control if they want to truly represent the plant-based community in a positive light. Envegan is such a stellar establishment! They have an abundance of delicious vegan options, from wings to bowls to wraps. I absolutely love their portobello burgers as it's crispy, fresh, and filled with flavor! I also love their hummingbird cake. The service here is also amazing as I always feel welcome and at home. You can tell the people working here love what they do as they're incredibly friendly and inviting. Definitely give this place a visit! Read less
Majority of the food here is not vegan and it’s something basic that I can make at home but very pricey

Food was good, especially the burritos and wraps Salads should be served with dressing. Avoid going later in the day, you'll get cold food
Got the BLT & The shrimp Po' boy. Wasn't happy with either sandwich

So, this was my first time trying this spot. Overall, the service was good. Very friendly staff. Now, the food… Ya’ll please stop lying to these folks. This is why vegan food gets a bad rap. Lol I’ve been a vegan for 5 years. If you know anything about vegan food, SEASONING is EVERYTHING. I got the curry lunch special and it was so bland. Salt might have helped, but I was too lazy to go back inside. I was disappointed outside of it being yellow, I would have never known it was curry. It was poorly seasoned. Also, if you are looking for a good source of protein, this ain’t it. There were only 4 pieces of tofu. Finally, I tried the cauliflower after the staff member hyped it up. It was pretty good, crunchy, but I was missing the dipping sauce. Again, too lazy to go back inside. I wanted this place to be good, but it’s a no for me. SMH. The one positive is that the food was pipin’ hot. Read less
