Finally caught Dodah's open so went in to check it out. The lone employee, Santer, was very nice although the language barrier made it challenging to have a fluid conversation. I love that there's a vegan option here, since I visit this center regularly. Had the fried oyster mushrooms with garlic kale. It was good. This is my recommendation to the owner. Label each dish, explaining the makeup of each dish so the staff doesn't have to take the extra time to explain (if they even know). This is my first time in any Dodah establishment, and I hope that with increased marketing they will do very well. I have a few ideas if you want to contact me. Welcome to Newark! Read less

Can't beat that! So far I've been back three times now! I've tried the vribs, shrimp, drummies, fish, lasagna, potato salad, mac and cheese, fries, yams, greens, their sweet potato cake, strawberry cake, lemon cake, passion fruit lemonade, colada moss drink everything was fireeeeeee! My faves are their shrimp and fish, their potato salad, greens, fries, Mac and cheese, yams. I loved both drinks that I tried, I think I found me a new spot! RUNNNNNNN Here, don't walk! Read less

Tried this place after a hike in Newark, DE. It’s a small place that is really cute inside. There didn’t seem to be many gluten free options on the menu and I couldn’t confirm due to a language barrier with the worker. I ordered the general Tso’s cauliflower, mushroom salad, quinoa, sweet love tea and sweet potato cheesecake. You get a lot of food, enough for a second meal. The texture of the cauliflower was a bit too soft for me on day 1. I put it in the oven the next day and it was better. I had never had mushroom salad before and this had great flavor. The quinoa was also the best I have ever tasted. Not sure what they make it with, but it is flavorful. The cheesecake was ok. I would probably try a different flavor next time. Admittedly I’m not usually a sweet tea drinker, so it was too sweet for me. I should have probably gotten the other version, which I will try next time. If and when I’m in DE or MD I would give this place another shot. Read less

Love the food and service here. Went to the one by the University of Delaware. I've been twice already in the past week. The food is well seasoned, tasty, and great service. The servers are really friendly. The only thing is the servers didn't speak english well and couldn't answer my questions about the food. And both times I came it took a couple minutes before someone came from the back to help me. I would suggest putting a ring tone on the door so as customers enter the staff can hear it if they're in the back. But other than that, love this place. and will continue going. Read less
