I always have a great time at My Mama's Vegan. During my last visit, the owner hosted a Juneteeth celebration. Ginger Noodle samples were made available and complimentary wine was offered. I ordered a vegan gyro from the special menu which was so tasty and delicious. A couple of local vendors had popups there. I purchased product from each of them. I had THEE BEST vegan ice cream sandwich from Imperfect Vegan. Read less

I highly admire the effort to provide plant-based meals in a community otherwise lacking nutritious quick bites. The space is somewhat like a collective that also offers a mini bookstore of Black voices in literature as well as metaphysical and body care products. The late-night weekend hours really saved me as a vegan visiting from out of town. (However, be aware that the neighborhood is NOT walkable for women at nighttime.) The customer service was extremely dismissive and uninviting, but the food was great. My biggest concern was the tattoo equipment and table near the dining area, that seems like a blatant health code violation. Read less
