I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Once a haven for panipuri lovers, my recent experiences have been nothing short of disheartening. The quality has taken a nosedive, and the wait times have become absurd—often around 30-40 minutes. To add insult to injury, it appears that friends of the staff or owners are allowed to skip ahead in line while the rest of us are left to stew in our impatience. The flavors, once so delicious have become inconsistent and dull. It feels as though I’m biting into bland, boiled potatoes submerged in plain water. The garlic water, which should be a flavorful kick, resembles nothing more than a glass of tasteless water. I also have my suspicions about the portion size; they somehow manage to miscount the number of puris served, leaving you feeling shortchanged. If a puri is cracked, rather than replacing it, they still serve it. Each visit leaves me feeling rushed. SAVE YOURSELF the disappointment—there are countless other places nearby that offer a quicker, tastier, and far more hygienic experience. Read less

To begin with it’s a busy place all the time, I have tried Pani Puri here many times but the hard part is the line for it, you might lose the patience waiting for it. Manchurian’s are okay I would say and are more towards the tangy taste. Seating can be difficult to find since they have very limited space. Parking can also be extremely difficult. Read less

We visited Vatan Restaurant in Jersey City and ordered the Dahi Puri, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The flavors felt off — the puris weren’t crisp, the quantity of dahi was less and the overall taste lacked freshness and balance. Definitely not up to the mark, especially considering the expectations for a staple chaat item. Hope they improve the quality going forward. Read less
