I got the Khao Soi from here - which is a rice noodle dish that comes in a coconut-milk broth, along with some fried tofu When I first got this dish, I was a bit concerned as I didn't see any of the noodles. I did find there were a lot of them under the surface of the broth, though For the most part, I really liked the combination of flavors that this dish had. The noodles were very well infused with both a coconut-like and creamy flavor that created a great tasting final product, that's pretty unique. There was also some spice to it - which was nice to have. I didn't think the broth was *super* rich though - it was a little more on the liquidy side, but the flavor was good regardless The noodles themselves were cooked very well - these were about medium thickness, and retained some bite to them. It was also very easy to eat with a fork. As a matter of fact, this entire dish could easily be eaten just using a fork due to the amount of noodles, which was very nice The tofu in this bowl was also excellent. Obviously it was no longer crispy, being soaked in the broth, but the inside was wonderfully moist and juicy. It was only lightly fried, so the batter wasn't excessive We also got an appetizer of the fried cauliflower florets - which was fantastic. The batter was great and seasoned amazingly, with just the right amount of spice - and the sauce given was sweet, which acted well to balance out the spicy flavor I did try some of a couple other dishes. the hot basil fried rice was good, but the pad see ew was pretty bad in my opinion. the noodles were super chewy and seemed to be way undercooked - also that dish arrived basically cold For the price of around $25 total, the portion size for most dishes are pretty large, so it's a decent enough deal. I will mention that charging $5 extra for rice for any kind of curry is just ridiculous Overall, I think this is a pretty good spot, but ordering any dish other than what I got feels like a risky choice. 8/10 Read less

Broccoli and carrot pieces were 3-4. They said they don’t have spice levels. All items are made the same spice :( Read less

- Good Massaman curry, skip the Roti - Food: 3 stars Price: 2 stars Service: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Overall: 3 stars We came here on Sunday night and most of the big tables are taken at 5:35pm. There were 4 small tables available, and we grabbed the one at the corner of the restaurant. I ordered the massaman curry for $20, roti for $5, and hubby ordered the old-style pad thai for $20. We got our food after a short wait around 7 minutes, and the curry was great. There was about 5-6 fried tofu in there with 5 small chunks of potato, and I saw some spices such as a cinnamon stick and bay leaf. It's my first time eating massaman curry, so I can't really compare it to anywhere else. However, I enjoyed the taste of it, and the aftertaste was spicy. I'd totally recommend skipping the Roti as you can easily make better ones from frozen packages from asian grocery stores. It was such a disappointment when I saw it. The best roti I've had is from Banana leaf in Vancouver, BC. I haven't found anything that's close to that.. order rice with the curry would be a better choice here. The old-style pad thai is similar to ones from other places, but it's more mushy. My husband didn't enjoy it that much, but I think it's on par with other places despite a small portion. The ambiance was great here with the décor, but the food wasn't that good and I found the price higher than what they should have been. Maybe it's the totem lake pricing, but paying $20 for curry without rice seems crazy. I might still come back for the curry, but I'm more likely to visit the Box or elsewhere if we're in the area again. Read less
