As a vegan, I love laughing planet!! I go there all the time. I love the variety of options and that you can vegan or vegetarian anything. They have a nice variety of healthy options with good sauces and combinations of veggies. Today my food was SUPER burnt though. I think they burnt some quinoa (there were some minor bunt bits) and tried to scoop out the stuff that didn't look burnt (we have probably all tried this) but even that stuff that didn't look burnt had been steamed/infused with carbon. The whole bowl smelled like I was licking an ashtray. I tried to eat it, but I kept gagging and had to spit it out in the toilet. I have heard of people using "liquid smoke" in recipes but haven't tried it myself, so I thought maybe they changed the bowl recipe to include a smokey ingredient. I called to ask and they said no. I was disappointed because I don't eat out very often and it's a splurge for me, but I'll still be going back when I can, will definitely be checking to make sure it's not burnt in the future before I go home. I love the food here but the last time I went - my chips were stale and the chilli was different : recipe is changed.

I think this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in my life. We showed up, waited for service and were told they couldn’t pour alcoholic beverages because no one working was of age to do so. They got our food order wrong and they gave us the oldest looking queso cheese dip possible. The staff remade my burrito and made undesirable substitutions as they ran out of ingredients. I’m unsure why they didn’t ask me first or let me know they were out of certain items. Overall, the employees were rude and unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. Read less
