First visit, I really liked this restaurant. I would give it a 4.5 rating, if I could. 2 downgrades, hot items were served only “warmish” and they add a 3% surcharge for CA mandates. I had the Grilled Steak Plate ($20.25). > Steak - good flavor and prep, but it was a little chewy > Chili Lime Street Corn on the Cob - very good, great flavor and a surprising 2 pieces served > Beet Salad - very good, nice sized serving with goat cheese pieces > Rustic Bread - good Service was friendly, they have both inside/patio dining areas. I also tried the pita and hummus, and it was incredibly fresh and satisfying—great texture and seasoning. Fast casual eatery with healthy food options is a win for us even before we get our food. The menu clearly lists calorie counts, which is helpful in choosing. Ashley was friendly and efficient taking our order. The atmosphere is nice with a variety of seating options inside and out. They do a brisk takeout business, which may have delayed our order just a bit. Our food is fresh and right-sized. I had the Parmesan shrimp, Brussels sprouts and beet salad. My husband had salmon, basmati rice and Caesar salad. Both are properly cooked and moist. The crisp-tender cooked Brussels sprouts have a nice not overly sweet glaze, but the beets are a little too sweet for my taste. To top it off we shared a cowgirl cookie with a crisp-chewy texture and studded with dried cranberries and coconut. A good first impression. We will return. Read less
