This place was highly recommended by friends who had visited before, so I had high hopes. My boyfriend and I (both vegan) both agreed that the food was decent, but not incredible. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow. We ordered our food at the same time (almost identical meals), but he got his food a good 20-30 minutes before I got mine. I expected to be able to eat my meal at the same time as the person I'm dining with. Then we had to remind them about our drinks we'd ordered. On top of all that, we realized they'd forgotten part of his meal and had to show them the receipt so they could bring it out later. We love supporting vegan restaurants, but 3 stars is as high as I can honestly rate this place. Read less

We’ve come here two days in a row on our NOLA trip. We’re not vegan, just vegetarian but the food was absolutely amazing and not typically “vegan”. The flavors are explosive and balanced. This is a great way to experience NOLA cuisine and soul food as a vegan. It is a little further from the French Quarter so I recommend getting an Uber or a car. But it is so worth it! We had the lion’s mane burger (our favorite), jackfruit ribs, and cauliflower wings. These were our faves from truly everything on the menu is worth trying. The place is nice, food is amazing, and the bathrooms are well kept and clean. The food is incredibly flavorful, staff is exceptionally nice, highly recommend if you’re a vegan looking for soul food cuisine in NOLA, check this place out! Read less

first visit, spent about $26 which included a, 1 protein with 3 sides plate. which i got mac, cornbread and fries. mac was pretty good, more pasta than cheezy. fries were ok, was not a fan of the cornbread but the cauliflower bites were good. also ordered a kids nacho which was classic and although there’s nothing on the menu to suggest, u can request jalapeños. the aesthetic was cute and the staff pretty nice. Soooo gooddd - we came here twice, and would have come once again if the place was open on Monday. Southern food made Vegan, in an extremely thoughtful manner. The chef actually has put time, effort and love into designing the menu. This place shows that vegan food is not only imitation or impossible meat, there's more to it. Much much more. They use clean ingredients for their dishes. Had three servings of crab cake because it was that delicious, crispy and light. The okra gumbo and jambalaya were delicious too. The jambalaya and okra gumbo were with quinoa instead of rice which was a nice touch. The food took quite some time to be prepared which was a bit disappointing. Hope they improve on that. However that's because they prepare everything fresh and to order. 10/10 would recommend. They started from a pop up, to a food truck, and now have a brick and mortar location. Hope they go a long way. They deserve it. Read less
