My first visit to Ike's Love and Sandwiches. Overall it was a great visit! The inside looks similar to most vintage new orleans places. I would like to call it a hole-in-the-wall in the best way possible. But it does have an artistic, hippie vibe to it as well. You can definitely come casual and dress comfortably. The service was very friendly at 8:30pm on a random weekend night. There was not much of a crowd, which I don't understand because the food is delicious. There was parking on the street and some required a little bit of a walk. The location was convenient for me because I had plans to visit another establishment near by. I ordered the Menage A Trois on the Dutch bread. It was spectacular! The chicken was shredded softly. The sauces on the bread made it soo tasty. I got mine fully dressed, which means: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, banana peppers, and pickled jalapeños. Now this is a sandwich morning, noon or night I dream of eating this sandwich again. They have sooo many options that I took a moment to just read over 100 different ways to dress a sandwich. I can't wait to go back and to bring others. Now I have to find out if they deliver through doordash or uber eats because this would make a great mid-day lunch. They serve donuts and sandwiches all day long and even have breakfast sandwiches. The price for the sandwich is worth the value of the flavor. If you are traveling or worry about the bread getting soggy, ask for the sauces on the side. Also, the fries came out first and were piping hot, which I love! The fires are not included with the sandwich, but they include two sauces when you order them. If you want to switch it up from your regular sandwich shop, please give them a try. Also comment on this review or tag me in your order. Read less

I found this awesome new sandwich shop just outside of the French Quarter. Not a bad day for a stroll so I took a chance on Ike’s. The place was empty but it smelled amazing so I went in. I was greeted by a nice young man and he gave me plenty of time to make a selection. I loved their menu making the recommendation for options if you have never eaten there before so I opted for the Matt Cain with some Zaps and Lemonade. The lemonade tasted fresh squeezed and the sandwich was amazing. I opted for the Dutch bread and I would definitely recommend that too. It had some nice crunchy bits on the top of the bread. The sandwich was cut in half, it was steamy hot and oh so tasty. I would definitely take the 30 minute stroll to get another and next time I look forward to trying their Rueben. Oh and their website has pics of every sandwich so there is no guessing what it will look like or how big it will be. Read less

My husband and I are big fans of Jim Rome and he alwayyyyyys brags about Ike’s! We thought we would never be able to experience these IMPECCABLE SANDWICHES! Come to find out there is one in our backyard in New Orleans. We both ordered the Marshawn Lynch with ranch and yellow bbq sauce, oh and cheddar. The bread is DEVINE! All the ingredients tasted so fresh, it was honestly the best sandwich I’ve ever had, even compared to my grandmas 🥰, we will definitely be back because, subway who? Jersey mikes who? Firehouse who? Nope all my Sammis are coming from Ike’s! This business not only has the bestttt sammiches but amazing service! When we got there Moe? I believe was host, server and bartender of a super busy spot! He was awesome, attentive and super calm given the busyness! The atmosphere is super calm, inviting and relaxing but during summer, like today I think the door should have been closed. All together we will definitely come back and bring all of our out of state friends when they come because like I said, this business has a beautiful message, beautiful sandwiches, awesome staff and a great place all around!
