I lived in Columbus for 20 years and always loved Aladdin's. When I returned for a visit, a friend suggested we meet there. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Our server seemed to know absolutely nothing about the menu or the availability of items. My friend finally gave up after 2 white wines were unavailable and our server couldn't tell her anything about the others. Each required him to go check. Each time we ordered he would forget what we ordered and come back to check. And we ordered nothing that was unusual. We got hummus and Veggies. First came the pita by itself. (still no plates, napkins or utensils. I just took some off another table). Then we got veggies. After some time we finally got Hummus. Veggies were just okay. Hummus was just okay -- kind of runny. I ordered Jasmine's Favorite - always my favorite, and it was really not good. Tasteless, a little dry. Lamb was not tasty at all. I asked for some sauce (which was supposed to come with it) and of course he had to check. I had Tahini sauce. When he came by to see if everything was okay, I indicated that I wasn't enjoying it much and asked for Garlic sauce. "I'll check" was, of course, his response. Then he brings me the menu and points out that it says "choice of Tahini or Garlic sauce". And says, "so the way I read it it's one or the other". It was as if the guy had never even eaten in a restaurant, let alone served in one. This is the only time in my life I ever left a zero tip and it was well deserved. I will not be eating in Aladdin's again. How far you have fallen! Read less

Aladdin's Eatery is an excellent Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant, serving, fresh, home made, great-tasting Lebanese food at a very reasonable price. It is definitely much better than most other Middle Eastern style food restaurants. Their food is consistently excellent, as stated above, and provides generous portions. The service is great, and the servers/staff are always pleasant and eager to please. We always enjoy eating at Aladdin's! Read less

I usually go to the Clintonville location, but since my friends and I meet somewhere else, it a little easier to get to the Grandview restaurant. Of course I had my usual Hummus Shwarma Plate.
