I recently visited Amasi Restaurant for dinner for the buffet, and was very happy with the food and the atmosphere, as well as the prices. Unfortunately, the service was somewhat disappointing. The buffet runs from 6pm to 9pm, but although we arrived at 6pm and were immediately seated, it was another 15 minutes before the buffet was open. During that time, nobody brought us water, bread, or asked if we wanted to order something to drink. Even when we eventually got some food and started eating, it was several minutes more before anyone came over to take our drink order and bring bread to the table. Then, we proceeded to go up to the buffet 3 more times for dinner and dessert, and during that whole time nobody came back to our table to see if we needed anything or to clear away our used plates. Our glasses were all empty, our breadbasket was empty, and we had used plates all over the table. A girl did eventually come over and start clearing off our table but by then were had already finished eating and were waiting for our check. Also, the buffet also ran out of clean dinner plates, so people had to start putting all their food on small salad plates (those eventually ran out as well). As an added note, it seems like the woman who greeted us at the door and seated us, was also the "waitress" who was serving the tables, and was also doing various other tasks throughout the restaurant. They don't seem to have much of a staff. The few other employees who were there didn't seem to be doing much and weren't friendly at all. They barely even spoke. Although we enjoyed the taste of variety of food, this is not a place that we would regularly come to, due to the disappointing service. Read less
