Homemade dishes! Friendly service.

My husband went for a late-night drink and to listen to live jazz music; we did not have any food. Cozy, speakeasy vibes. Great service. Reasonable drink prices.

Have no idea how the food is but I can tell you that the service is horrible. Came in for lunch on a Monday, party of 2. Only a few other couples dining in. Waitress said it's seat yourself. We chose the only booth available which could typically sit 4/5 people. The waitress gave us a disparaging look to which my husband jokingly replied "..you said to seat yourself." She replies "...people get greedy when I say that" Wow. Guess you shouldn't have people seat themselves then if it bothers you so much that you choose to make an unwelcoming, nasty comment. Best hamburger in Knoxville hands down. Don't get it wrong... this isn't a burger joint. This is a classy place with unique, tasty specials. We frequent this place, especially if there's something good playing next door at the Bijou. If there's a particularly popular act at the Bijou, you need to be way early to get in. Everyone knows you get an excellent meal at the Bistro and can have a couple of cocktails to get primed up. Read less

Had lunch downtown today. Fast, good service with delicious food!

Jazz was nice and loved all the unique options for vegetarians / vegans! Service was also great! If we are ever driving through Knoxville again, we will definitely come back!

We had an outstanding dinner ( grouper on grits) and the carrot cake was to die for. One of our favorites in Knoxville. The specials are always fantastic.
