Charlie was a sinner. Who was Charlie, why the guilt? Still a mystery, but what is not... this place is awesome. It's moody, dimly lit. The decorations give old-world charm with a modern edge. Offers small plates that are vegan. I had the grilled cheese, omg... and still surprised by the vegan part of it all. Served with style. Service was friendly, attentive- the server even helped to celebrate my half-way to 100 birthday. A great place to take a date or a few friends for an intimate night, where you feel a little fancy but still comfortable. Even visited the bathrooms, not that I needed to but to round out the whole experience. Will definitely go back to check out more of that amazing menu and the high-quality drinks. Cozy, intimate, sexy interior well-matched to excellent food and cocktails. Met a friend for dinner and felt like I'd gone through a portal to another dimension. Once I figured out how to get in the front door and slipped through the velvet entrance curtain, the restaurant kept opening up. First a casual seating space, then the luscious bar, then the tightly-spaced restaurant. All lit with super low lighting to set a definite vibe. Food was fabulous - lots of veggie-friendly options. I’ve only been a few times, but this is my new favorite spot. I love being able to share different plates, especially with my loved ones that don’t eat meat and/or dairy. The potato croquettes are a must every time, the empanadas are delicious, and they are generous with the sauce (love that). I look forward to trying more of their food, drinks, and desserts. Seating on the booth side is preferred, it’s easy to smack your head on the dado rail if the chair is too close to the wall on the other side. Read less

Charlie was a sinner is trendy and chic! The dim lighting, the vintage charm, and plush seating set the tone and create an intimate setting, perfect for date night. My only qualm: dinner for two becomes dinner for four, as every square inch is accounted for. I love that the menu caters to vegans like myself, but what keeps us coming back for more are the drinks!
