The most perfect atmosphere to lean into a sexy and passionate night. The food was spectacular, and the zero-proof and wine selection were curated with amazing detail.

Petty and dark on the inside, everything is vegan which is great! High food prices

First, this is coming from someone that has cocktail bartended for a long time… Obviously the first choice for a cocktail in this part of the city, was happy to stop in and grab a couple with my wife. Sat at the bar, and was told I had to sit in one of the packed-in stools and it could not be moved. Nbd. We ordered two of their $17 signature cocktails. The bartender took his time, which is fine, and lined up 4 shakers to build drinks into. He then proceeds to use the same strainer for all 4 drinks, leaving hints of every other drink that proceeded it. Sorry, I don’t want my fruity gin cocktail with hints of espresso martini. The drinks are placed down and what bothers me the most is I paid $17 for what should have been a great cocktail, but having watched the bartender, he never added egg whites to my cocktail, which is a major ingredient for the texture of the drink. I was sure to pay attention to his process and the bottles being used, as often times nice cocktail bars have egg whites pre-bottled. The cocktails, frankly, were bland and underwhelming. They were barely passable without having to ask for a refund or a new drink. Unbalanced, and watered down from adding the ice too early and letting the drinks sit. Her espresso martini was fine, my “emerald city” was wildly average. This isn’t what you expect at Charlie’s. Sloppy, hasty, and missing the small, but important steps. Disappointing for sure. We did not order another round. Read less

I’ve only been a few times, but this is my new favorite spot. I love being able to share different plates, especially with my loved ones that don’t eat meat and/or dairy. The potato croquettes are a must every time, the empanadas are delicious, and they are generous with the sauce (love that). I look forward to trying more of their food, drinks, and desserts. Seating on the booth side is preferred, it’s easy to smack your head on the dado rail if the chair is too close to the wall on the other side. Read less
Great staff, portions were good and everything tasted great.

This place has taken a complete fall in the past few years. Was one of my favorite restaurants in Philly a few years ago and it’s now inedible. Lacks the most basic seasoning, food temp is off, and overall just completely flavorless. Service is mid (waited a really long time for one of our cocktails and they had also forgotten one of our plates). Cocktails are good and ambiance is fun - still a good spot for happy hour but definitely not dinner. Read less
