My oldest girlie and I enjoyed a great supper before our movie. It shares a parking lot with AMC, so it is the perfect spot before or after (much better service than the adjacent Wild Wings). I had the burger & a Blue Moon. Ash had a lovely Strawberry Shakedown that looked and tasted like fresh summertime. Her Sausagefest Calzone was ginormous! She got full and had so much to take home it will be a late night snack and lunch tomorrow. Our server Lily was delightful!! Helpful & quick with drinks, refills, extra napkins, and lids inside the to go box. She was asking us instead of us asking her. Even with multiple tables in her section, we were so well taken care of. They are remodeling, and say "trust the process" at the door. If one section of primed wall is going to upset you, give it a month or so. Read less

I visited Mellow Mushroom for a quick meal, as it was the only option available that day. I called in my order while on the way, and although they initially estimated a 30-minute wait, I arrived nearby and decided to wait inside. Upon arrival, a staff member inquired if I was there for a pickup. I informed her that I had just placed an order and didn't mind the wait, without any rush. After processing my payment, she informed me that my order would be ready in just seven minutes, much sooner than expected. While waiting, I took a couple of photos of their unique ceiling fan made from water skis and wakeboards. My pizza was ready promptly, and after getting it, I drove home to enjoy it. However, within three hours of eating, I began experiencing a sore throat. Initially, I dismissed it as minor irritation, but it escalated that evening. Upon waking the next day, I found my sore throat had significantly worsened, localized to one area without any other symptoms. Having lived in this town my entire life, I am aware that several friends have expressed concerns about the declining quality at this establishment. Regrettably, I wish I had heeded their warnings. The sore throat persisted, and unlike typical infections, it did not spread. The affected area was red and blistered, contrasting with my usual experiences of widespread symptoms associated with colds or viruses. I contacted my doctor regarding my symptoms. They noted the unusual nature of my situation, as strep throat or any virus typically presents with additional symptoms like fever or respiratory issues. In my case, the discomfort was confined to a small area, about the size of one inch, without any spreading. The pizza was the only food I consumed that day, and I only ate three pieces. The onset of my symptoms shortly after eating has raised concerns about the possibility of contamination. In light of my issues that quickly started right after , I find myself wishing for more consistent quality and safety standards, as reliance on human handling can introduce risks. As a precautionary measure, I will be taking a significant break from Mellow Mushroom. It is crucial to remain vigilant about food safety and to be observant of any health issues following meals. I wonder if the establishment has surveillance in place for food handling practices. While I cannot definitively attribute my symptoms to the pizza, the timing of their onset raises sufficient concern. I had my friend with me that day and they don't have any symptoms or issues. They also didn't eat any of the pizza. I had just dropped them off at home. I picked up a quick bite. If it were a cold or any other thing, they were with me the entire time out. They went everywhere I did, but they are fine and didn't have any of the pizza. Only time out because I had some important things to do before we went out and the only thing I ate that day, because I was so busy that day, at home. Read less
