I was there for total of 28 minutes and was asked if everything was okay and if I needed 5 times!! I felt quite rushed and unwelcome during my visit. The food was good; I ordered shrimp tacos, house Margarita I ate them quickly to avoid being asked if I needed anything else. I even considered asking for me to be boxed to-go, all reasonably priced. However, I will not return. I went around 3 PM, and despite being the only one sitting outside felt very rushed for no reason! Read less

I've ordered pickup from here twice. Both times have been absolutely delicious!! The staff is always smiley and friendly. I have not tried their margaritas yet but hope to try soon! The Nacho Supreme was the best! The Fried Ice Cream was great but I prefer sprinkles over the granola-type topping. Finally, the Spinach Burritos were good but would've been better with fresh lettuce and tomato on top. I'll be back!! Read less

Had a good lunch here. Pretty standard for a Mexican American restaurant. Prompt service, welcoming environment, and very large menu with lots of lunch options from $10-12. Tortilla chips were warm and salsa seemed fresh. Had a chicken chimichanga and fajitas. Was good food and portions. Really nothing negative to say — again just what I’d expect from a regular Mexican restaurant in America, nothing really blew us away. Read less

I have been a weekly customer of the Short Pump Mexico for over 30 years. I LOVE this place, but in the last year, something has changed and not for the better. The salsa is still the best, but about 6 months ago, the chips started tasting like old grease and the bag when I get take out is almost translucent with grease. Last week my wife and I came in for dinner and I ordered a Fajita Quesadilla. It was not edible. Opening up the tortilla revealed the ingredients were swimming in a lake of grease. My wife has had similar experiences the last few times here. I don't know if they changed cooks or the management no longer takes pride in the quality of their food, but after 30 years, we may not be coming back. There are too many other better Mexican restaurants in the area. It's a shame. Read less
