Detroit Street Filling Station is an absolute gem in Ann Arbor! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and full of character. The historic gas station-turned-restaurant has a unique charm that blends vintage vibes with a modern, plant-based twist. We started with the appetizer special, and it was beautifully presented and packed with flavor—every bite was fresh and creative. For the main course, we had the [insert dish if you’d like to personalize], and it was hands down one of the best vegan meals we’ve had. You can really tell they care about quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Even if you’re not vegan, the food here will blow you away. Service was equally impressive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount. You could tell the whole team took pride in what they were doing. I went here with my parents and baby who was in a stroller. The hostess had no interest in accommodating us and insisted she had no tables to fit a stroller other than the one right at the entrance. When I tried to put my baby on the side of the table out of the walkway she said no, I had to put my baby in the walkway, which was absurd. We asked again to move and she said no. We decided to move anyway and she got very frustrated with us. We just moved a chair out of a table and sat my baby’s stroller in place of the chair. It’s called using your brain to accommodate a customer which this place clearly lacks. Read less

The only thing I don't like about detroit street filling station is that it closes at 8. I am not a vegan or vegetarian but have found everything very tasty. The power bowl, pad thai, wings, and tots are all recurring staples and the drinks are quite tasty as well. I often get this to go, although the ambiance is great (especially in the summer when the patio is open) so enjoy eating here as well. Read less
