Ive been vegan for over 15years and was excited to try Frannies as im new to the area and options are limited. I loved the vibe- place is very welcoming and inclusive. A good amount of food selection and they also have something for a person with a sweet tooth. Cute and cozy atmosphere. The lady at the counter was super nice. I am however dissapppinted in the food however. I opted for the lobster roll. The flavor was just not there at all and the bun is like a sweet hawaiian. The two just didnt mix well and it got a tummy ache. Besides that, the roll was small- think hotdog size and it came with two sides- one spoonful of each item. I paid around 15 bucks- it was just not worth it. I liked the place so much I will definitely give it a second chance with something else, maybe I just chose the wrong item. Was invited to the quaint, adorable, and inviting atmosphere of Frannie's Vegan Café today by a sweet friend who treated me to lunch... and it was wonderful! Besides the food being super fresh and healthy it was tasty and fun too. How is food fun? Here it just is, especially if you are new to vegan food. The fun comes from stepping out of the box, trying something new and seeing how it compares to food you are otherwise used to. Frannie's has a welcoming atmosphere that's coupled with a homey kitchen and cool decor. It felt like being on vacation in a new town when stepping inside with an urban meets country vibe. For added fun, I has a patron pick out my meal, which was the jackfruit Bar B Que sandwhich with a sideof carrots and seasoned potatoes. The gluten free lemon and blueberry cupcake hit the sweets craving spot too! It was great leaving satiated and not stuffed or too full, which I attribute to the quality of the food prepared there. Love this place! I have recently been very sensitive to many foods and have been on a low FODMAP diet. I told Frannie what I couldn’t have and what I could and she found me what I could eat. I had the chicken sandwich the first time I was there and it tasted like chicken. So impressed! My husband tried the meatloaf this time and he couldn’t believe it wasn’t actually meat loaf. Got the cupcakes last time and my baker daughter said it was confusing her because it tasted exactly like “real cupcakes”. Everything I have tried has been beyond expectations. Great atmosphere!
