My partner and I were craving Mexican food, and since we were in the area and saw great reviews for this place, we knew we had to check it out. At first, I didn’t believe it was a vegan joint—the food looked so authentic, almost like real meat, which made me even more excited to try it. We decided to invite a good friend of ours, who is mostly vegetarian, to join us. When we arrived, the place was quite busy, but since it was a Sunday, we weren’t in a rush. The service was excellent—the server and chef were friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. We started with horchata, chips and salsa, and then ordered a variety of dishes: an Al Pastor burrito, two taco plates (asada and carnitas), and another two taco plate with mushroom and asada. All plates came with rice and beans. Although we waited a bit longer than usual, I have to say the food was outstanding and absolutely worth the wait. I’m already looking forward to returning. I highly recommend this spot for both meat-eaters and non-meat eaters alike! Plus, it’s LGBTQ-friendly, making it a welcoming environment for everyone. Read less

Plantita is the cutest little space in Long Beach run by the sweetest Latino family who make everything fresh daily. We had the BEST vegan tacos and fresh homemade tortilla chips (seasoned to perfection) with guac. The asada and the Al pastor tacos were juicy and so flavorful, and you can really taste the difference in the homemade tortillas. Even my meat-eating friend said they were the best tacos he’s ever had! Will definitely be back to try the elote costillas and the horchata. If you come on a weekend it gets busy, so be patient with the staff as everything is fresh and homemade! Trust me, it’s worth waiting for. Read less

We came with our Vegan friends. Everyone was very amazed by the food! It was very tasty and filling! Food is made fresh and at the moment, so be patient (totally worth it!)
