AMAZING FOOD! The woman who owns and manages this place goes above and beyond. She's relatively new and trying to build her business up in this kitchen. When you buy the food she takes your order, cooks it, and brings it out to you. She does it all! When she brought out the food she was extremely personable and referred to her food as "her baby". Any establishment with that level of authenticity and passion proves the food will be exceptional. HELP SUPPORT this woman and her small business. You wont regret it! Read less

My family and I were lucky enough to find this place on a quick trip to Nashville. The food was amazing! We had the spicy stir fry beef, tilapia, and lentils, and everything was delicious! I’ve eaten at quite a few Ethiopian restaurants is this is right up there with the best of them. We also got a chance to chat with the owner. Not only Is she a great cook, she’s also super friendly and passionate about what she does. We’ll DEFINITELY be back! Read less

I am unsure as to what happened with my order today. I have been a repeat customer to injera for quite some time but today my order was an absolute disaster. The first time this has ever happened to me when ordering from here. I usually receive a text saying your order is ready around the pickup time provided by street Injera. Today we arrived and 5 minutes later we were still waiting outside and I never received a text. I tried calling and texting but no response. The lady finally came out several minutes later with our food. She seemed extremely rushed and confused. She went back and forth between our car and another car twice saying she mixed the orders up.I was extremely confused. I ordered the platter with one meat and two veggies, chicken samosas, side of white rice and extra injera. I asked for the meat to be spicy on my platter but not the veggies. When I opened the bag, they made a platter with spicy meat and spicy veggies and then realized after the fact so they added a side of non spicy veggies in a seperate container. My injera was missing completely. I had to flag her down outside to tell her my injera was missing. She asked me to check in the bag again. I took out all the contents to show her there was no injera. She went inside for another 5-7 minutes while we waited on her to bring the injera. At this point we were very frustrated. As we left, I opened the food to eat and the meat was absolutely horrible. It tasted rotten and sour with a very bad taste. This is unusual, as I have eaten this same meat dish from injera several times before. I also ordered the potato salad which is usually so delicious! Today it was absolutely inedible. It was completely different and had some weird sauce on it. I used to rave about this salad before on how good it was and unfortunately today both the meat and the salad was inedible. I had to throw away my entire meal bc of how bad the food tasted. I am so disappointed as I’ve even driven here to eat when I lived in Kentucky as it was so loved! After todays visit I will not return. Read less

Not a restaurant, but that's excusable, the service is not. I arrived at the place and was disappointed it was a ghost kitchen so I rated it 1 star. I still ordered, the owner came out and gave us the food and a place to eat. She was nice and the food was average (we ate at Addissae in Asheville later in the week and that was much better). What makes this shop deserve 1 star is that she called me on the phone and asked why I gave her a 1 star. Bit of an invasion of privacy IMO, but I explained the ghost kitchen part and she kept rambling about how she works so hard, it's not fair, I need to change my review, etc. etc. Fine, I deleted the 1 star review to be nice, but it's been bothering me ever since. Does she just call everyone who leaves her a bad review and harass them until they leave a good one? It doesn't sit right with me so based on that experience, 1 star. Read less
