First time here so I tried the “Famous BBQ Bowl” with a slice of cornbread, and a tea. The passion fruit tea was great. The cornbread was like an uncooked corn cookie dough, packed, mushy, but tasted ok. The BBQ bowl was easily overpowered by the bitter greens, which lacked seasoning and flavor. The slaw is WAY heavy on the bell peppers. The BBQ was like a sloppy joe meat, with no real BBQ flavor. The rice on the bottom ended up bitter from the greens juice. All that for $28, including 15% tip. And you’re expected to buss your table. Read less

Wow! What a menu - we were spoilt for choice! I had the Spicy Asian Burger - it was delicious and the homemade coleslaw on it was so fresh and zingy! My wife had the All American Burger and the sauce, dill pickles and patty combined beautifully! Customer service was excellent and they really looked after us! We're supposed to be exploring Nashville but I already know we'll be coming back to the Sunflower Cafe for a return visit(s)! Superb! Read less

Ordered the BBQ Potato Bowl, a side of Sesame Kale, and a chocolate chip cookie dough. It was way too much food to eat in one sitting and made for fantastic left overs the next day. The BBQ "meat" was tender and delicious. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I was expecting, but still yummy. Cashew cheese was excellent. The potatoes made the dish a bit heavy, so I took about half home. The kale was cooked wonderfully. Seasoned excellency. Consumed it all that first day. I saved the chocolate chip cookie dough for the next day. Excellent choice. It was sweet, sugary, delicious. Hit the spot in the middle of a long day of conference seminars. Love love love love that everything at the restaurant was vegan. It helped give me so much piece of mind when ordering my meal. It's also a very laid back atmosphere. Order at the counter. Take your tray back to any table of your choice. Music wasn't loud. Room temperature was comfortable. No rush to eat and leave. Very very low key. Made it easy to have great conversations with new folks. If I ever return to Nashville, this will be on my list of places to eat at again. Read less
