I especially love that it’s women-owned and run. They recently added Vegatinos to the menu and wow—chef’s kiss! Leonor’s Restaurant is a staple for the plant-based community in the 818 Valley. Through the years Leonor’s has made some changes, now becoming a collective that has provided a home for other plant-based businesses as well. But one thing that has never changed is Leonor’s dedication to their mission of being health-conscious while serving delicious food. My admiration goes out to the two women running the show, the beautiful Miss Liz and her gorgeous daughter Emily, for making every meal with love and carrying on the legacy of Leonor García. Leonor’s is more than a restaurant, it’s a home and a community full of Latina women who have helped pioneer Vegan/Vegetarian cuisine in the city of LA. If you’re ever in the area, stop by and check it out. You’ll be greeted with beautiful smiles and amazing service. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming — shoutout to Elizabeth, who was so sweet and made the experience even more enjoyable. The vibe here is casual and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a healthy, flavorful meal. I especially recommend trying their “chicken” sandwich, “chicken” salad, and enchiladas — everything I’ve tried has been consistently great.
