Had such a beautiful dinner at Men & Beasts! The monkey buns were out of this world and I'm still thinking about the sweet and sour mushrooms, please never take them off the menu! The oolong ice cream was dreamy, and the jasmine tea in the tea house was so lovely. Really calm, cozy vibe. Service was amazing, everyone was kind, thoughtful, just really on it. Even the chairs were comfy, which I never expect but totally appreciated! Already made my next reservation. Can’t wait to go back! Read less

So good! We went last week and my non-vegan partner even keeps talking about it, if you're concerned about the wider appeal. Sipped on a delightful tea. The cucumber salad was our favorite but everything was so delicious. Thought the truffle fried rice was a little dry to me a sauce might balance it. They have quirky homade ice cream flavors similar to Salt and Straw if you're into that. Staff was nice and attentive! Great service. It's a bit of a different layout with a nice outdoor space as the main dining area, tables for a variety of party sizes. There's an indoor bar/tea lounge separated by the kitchen. You have to go out and around to get to. Not a complaint, just an FYI Parking is what you'd expect for this area. Some meters and street parking around. I'd give yourself some extra time to find a spot especially at peak hours. We'll definitely be coming back :) Read less

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. The food was incredible. Below is my recollection from memory after wine, but I think my husband had to stop me from licking the plate. The service was excellent and everything came out quickly and piping hot. They were very knowledgeable to make recommendations. And I loved the ambiance. The tea room is more chill, quiet, and relaxing but we loved the patio which had a true Silverlake cool funky vibe. - pan fried dumplings- favorite dish of the night. So flavorful with umami with both crunch and bite. - monkey buns - melt in your mouth! - salt and pepper wings - really yummy and slightly smoky - king pao tofu - the flavor was amazing. - homemade ice cream - tried oolong and black sesame - TOASTea beer by Ugly Half - Verdejo wine I can't wait to eat here again!! Best Chinese food I have ever had in my life - particular emphasis on the cucumber salad, monkey buns and potstickers. And don't sleep on the palo santo kombucha!

Terrific new plant-based Asian fusion restaurant. Great selection of teas served in a pot with unlimited refills of hot water. The food menu is small, but with plenty of good options. We had the Kung Pao Tofu (very tasty sauce), Summer Lo Mein (flavorful), and the Baby Carrot (great dessert-ish dish with Oolong ice cream). The service was attentive and excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant! Read less
Eating here was more than dinner; it was an experience. The staff were very attentive, the food was delicious art, and the ambiance was so relaxed, you forgot you were in L.A. 10/10 would recommend.
