This was a unique restaurant we found by accident whilst exploring embassy row in downtown D.C. It was awesome. It had a great selection of teas (as its name suggests) and a fantastic menu of Japanese inspired cuisine. The energy was also great and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My partner and I liked it so much after our first visit that we went back the next day for dinner. This was a great find, and I 100% recommend you visit it if ever in D.C. Read less

Teaism is an absolute gem tucked inside a charming, older building that adds so much character to the whole experience. The layout is unique and cozy, downstairs has a relaxed bar vibe where you can catch a glimpse of the kitchen in action, while upstairs feels like a quaint little restaurant, perfect for a quiet meal. The food is amazing, full of comfort and flavor. My personal favorite is the Ochazuke with Salmon: simple, soulful, and beautifully prepared. It’s the kind of dish that just makes you feel good. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the service is consistently friendly and thoughtful. Whether you’re stopping in for a quiet meal or just soaking in the vibe, Tea is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Read less
