An incredible restaurant experience with amazing attention to detail and an extremely creative menu. Sarah was a great server and helped us pick items off of the menu. the watermelon ngiri was delicious. Although sometimes vegan restaurants feel uninspired and cheap, this place was filling and innovative. 5/5 all around, will be coming back to try their brunch menu. Read less

This was my first time going to a vegan restaurant and eating a completely vegan/plant based meal and I really enjoyed it. The food was SO good. The restaurant was super cute and vibey. Our server was a sweetheart and super kind. My favorite dish was actually the carbonara pasta (not pictured) and the Japanese sweet potato hand roll. I would definitely go back and I want to try one their other pasta dishes which I heard is also really good. For someone who doesn’t eat regularly plant based meals - I was initially skeptical and nervous because I was worried like oh my food needs some sort of meat to compliment. But trust you really don’t and you can enjoy a super yummy and delicious meal without it. Read less

Planta in Bethesda has some of the best plant-based food I’ve ever had! The Korean Chik’n Bao was absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try! The crispy mushroom sushi was also full of flavor and beautifully presented. My husband and I weren’t big fans of the sweet potato sushi roll, but the burger totally made up for it—savory, satisfying, and cooked to perfection. The service was also great. The host was welcoming and professional, and our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they care about the guest experience. However, I did notice a few things that took away from the overall experience. The water glasses weren’t clean, and the bathroom was in poor condition—the sinks looked like someone had taken a full bath in both of them. For a restaurant with such upscale vibes, I expected better cleanliness. Also, while the drinks are tasty, they’re super tiny for the price. A little more value there would go a long way. Still, the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff earn it a strong 4 stars. We’ll definitely return, especially for those bao buns! Read less
