We were there Saturday for the "soft opening". The new location at 101 Broadway is very nice, the trains going by on The Embarcadero add a little extra to the location! Since it was the first day open they had to work through a lot with the new everything. There are too many tables in the front bar area to make seating more than 2 people at a 4-6 person table comfortable. Some of the Menu items were not available but, we were informed by the host soon after the order went in and we ordered something else. Another difference is the menu and payment are all electronic (QR Code at your table). Bring your smart phone and plastic or payment App. Also, it would be nice to have the Staff familiar with the WiFi and password available to the customers? As a suggestion to the owners, perhaps they could have a printed menu and cash payment options? Read less

Terrible. Sat at the bar on 7/5 for over an hour before they called out that they double printed and lost tickets. Left after 1.5 hours, never got food

Top vegan place to go to in the Bay Area [and all over the USA] when you want it because we need to eat 3 square meals a day 365 days a year What I really want is vegan stuffing without vegan sausage. i could make my own in my converted motel room where I live but my cooking space is limited to a hot plate in the bathroom. I wanted to go here when Souley Vegan was up in Martinez. I know Amtrak goes to Martinez I found that out going to Sacramento and the delta area. I want an authentic vegan turkey. I have food service experience and can renew my food handlers license and I am available to help with meal prep during Thanksgiving. I also want a real traditional Thanksgiving meal. Maybe some culinary students from the community college can help with meal prep for Thanksgiving. Vegan is the way of the future How do y'all feel? What do y'all really want to eat for Thanksgiving at Souley Vegan. I'm excited about the new location in Jack London Square which seems like its more room than the location near the Oakland PD. I am bringing people to eat here with me as Soy Watt food consulting and food reviews and food reports. I'm going to update soon I have to get this letter to Stewie who runs Stewie's food truck over at Kaiser or Lake Merritt. I'm trying to get Stewie to veganize the menu. We were born at the same hospital in the same year so that is a special connection. I am glad you let me introduce myself we met last year in Santa Cruz at the vegan festival and the seitan sandwich sliders were the top seller. Our letters are similar: soy watt and souley vegan which works out well for a reason i need to explain later. i cant describe it now or it would sounds corny and my eyes are getting tired and i have to go back to mosswood park and talk to some vendors while juneteenth is going on there today. I'm surmising you will like the Souley Vegan script logo design i have in mind. But i need my DXE supporter friends with graphic design skills to do the computerized graphics. My friend is Vegan and drove all the way, even though it says open on the website, they were shut down. Very disappointing for my friend.

UPDATE: MOVED TO OAKLAND JACK LONDON SQUARE OPENING END OF MARCH 2025!! Sadly, I did not catch the owner's name. However , I will say her food is delightful! Tonight I enjoyed the chicken fried steak with the sides of Mashed potatoes and colored greens with a corn bread that comes with the meal. It comes with three sides however and corn bread. Josh is a treat in himself that made my night. I am impressed. I hope this place brings many smiles to many people like it did to mine. I will be back! Went back and again everything was delicious! Honestly, everything here is so delicious I am truly blown away! MAC AND CHEESE IS GARLICKY, YUM! Since stopping eating meat, I have from slim time to time missed burgers, I was raised a carnivore, anyway may have been just the night that I went and received my burger from here but I thought without a doubt, I was sinking My teeth into a mc double from mcdonald's. I was so blown away with happiness oh my, I do not know a single person that has eaten meat that does not enjoy a mc double from mcdonald's. This is no put down whatsoever! However, that was only 2 of my bites of my burger that tasted without a doubt, 100% identical and the authentic taste of this tottaly vegan burger in itself is genuinely delightful.
