My first experience with Indian food, Jude, the kind owner made sure the cooks worked around my onion allergy. The food and drinks were amazing, but that mango ice cream was spectacular !!

The worst Indo-Chinese food I’ve ever had was at Spice Symphony on Lexington Avenue. We ordered spring rolls and were served just two pieces, cut into four, with oil literally dripping from them. The Chinese bhel, veg Manchurian and chili chicken were just average. We also tried the veg triple Schezwan rice, veg Hakka noodles, and veg fried rice—unfortunately, all three had an odd aftertaste, possibly due to low-quality oil or something else. I even felt unwell after eating. We had previously visited the Spice Symphony on 50th Street and had a great experience, so we expected the Lexington location to be just as good—but it was far from it. The quality really needs serious improvement. Read less

Came here to try and introduce my coworkers to the magic of Indo-Chinese food. I particularly wanted to share what some of my favorite food to eat growing up in Mumbai was- chili paneer and Gobi Manchurian. Good news- the food here rocks and my coworkers loved it! I ordered family style for the group and everyone got to try gobi Manchurian, chili paneer, chaat, bhel, and then I got two familiar mains in the biryani and tikka masala. Everything was great and tasty. I usually like a more red/orange colored gobi Manchurian whereas this one was definitely more dark brown- indicating less chili. It had more of a mild spice with a sweet and sour taste, but it was still delicious due to the perfect crunchy texture. The paneer was perfect and dense and bitey, and the rest of the dishes were all exactly as you’d expect (creamy tikka masala, spicy biryani, etc). Vibe wise, the space is small but has a good amount of seating. Table cloth and settings are all very nice and feel more on the fancy side. This feeling emphasized by the wine and cocktail menu. There is a big mirror on the wall inside which makes the place feel a lot bigger than it is. Overall, this is a great spot to get delicious indo-Chinese or just Indian food as well as drinks. Come with a group and order family style! Read less
